Thanks Scott! If I could score another one I would. I see them ocasionaly on eBay but they end up going for around 40 bucks or so. I cant afford that right now but someday I will pick another one up. This was actualy a nice kit for AMT. Went together well. Fun to build. Chris: My plans were to try and find and old AMT Tyrone Malone Papa truck and make that the hauler for this thing. Thats another kit that brings outrageous price but I will have one someday to haul this. Thanks for the comments Johnny B

Do you think AMT might reissue this kit as well as the Orange blossom Special? or am I just dreaming? lol

They just might Chris! You never know. I'd like to get one of those as well but they bring big bucks too. I made my own pulling truck from a Chevy 1500 pick up. Threw a 4 x4 suspension underneath it. Slid a full blown funny car motor in it! Heres a pick pf it. It's not quite done. I have to add the pull bar on the back, the weight up front and a couple of other little things on it. Remember this started life as a c 1500. Sorry for the bad pics, they were taken with my old camera. The tires and rims are from a 1/64th scale die cast monster truck

I think i may just rebuild it in the same color combo..very mid to late 70s, but if the wife likes it then its cool. its not a glue bomb at least. for the age of the kit its pretty decent. the 6 pack big block car motor needs to get the heave ho for a Hemi lol.
The problem is the wife likes it now and ive got a few hundred other projects waiting. so I figure why mess with it if she likes it. its one of only a few models ive ever put up an she said "I like that" I really don't get it cause i see it as a bit sloppy vs other models I have. what do ya do? I will post the one i built from the monster kit when it first came out.

I think i built this when i was 17..20 years ago. raising blocks were removed from the springs. I do not remember where the tires came from or most of the extras..I still do not see why Amt couldnt somewhat re tool this kit to be something like i built here. even if they re poped the monster im sure many would be happy.
