Well,I too, hate to see this site shut down.I ain't here that often but when I am I am totally at awe by the awesome semi builds on here. Also hate to see the mud slinging on here as it really isn't needed. If Brian wants to shut down the site then so be it.I have to agree there is more to life then building but to some it is an important part of their lives. So maybe ya should let someone take the site over Brian. What would it hurt?If someone else is running it then it's not your problem.
I will see a few of ya on other boards I frequent. To the others....farewell my friends.

Neither am I, I'm enjoying the extra time it's been up! I'm on dial-up and still have 15 or so pages of the finished builds to look through and save the ideas I like for future reference.
Bri, if you're still going to kill off the site, could you PLEASE leave it up for a couple more days so I can finish looking through everything?

Scott, I P-Med Brian a couple of weeks ago . I offered to take the place over , but he's adamant in killing it off for whatever reasons . Some folks aren't going to listen , no matter what you ask !

I made the offer and got declined also. It's going to be a loss if this forum does close, there's a ton of good information and finished builds to learn from!
I'm hoping I can have enough time to finish looking at all the posts I still need to go through.

May be he's going to let it take it's course , just let it run until it breaks down ?

This forum is still up for the time being because Brian is deciding what he really wants to do. Everyone has put in their comments and lets be thankful that this is still on the network. If you read Bri's post on page seven he said he would consider what to do next. So far I am glad it is up and for newer members still joining welcome and hope to see you for a long time.

Bri,
You stated that you were no longer involved with the hobby and that, in fact, you have sold your entire collection of models. It is understandable that you had medical financial obligations and are now an OTR driver that doesn’t have the time to dedicate to the management of a full-time on-line forum. I also agree that it wouldn’t be in your interest to maintain a site where you have been openly attacked by a fellow member/administrator. Your reasons for leaving the forum are just and honorable.
Your intention of closing the site has caused a lot of rumblings among the members. The information compiled would be lost and several members that are currently building using the information to assist them would be at a loss. I know it would not be your intention to deprive innocent working folk, who find this hobby as an escape from their mundane lives, one of their favored forums. They share information, photos, and, quite literally, their dreams on this site. You and I are drivers, but so many of the members are not. They hear the trucks pass on the near-by highway and dream of the open-road. It’s the romantic life-style that draws many of them and the power of the trucks that beats within them.
I understand that the members Scrubba & Scott H. have offered to assume administrative responsibility for the site. If you are no longer part of the forum and relinquish total responsibility of it to the members in question, then it would relieve you of the burden of the site and yet allow it to function for the many members who are not part nor at fault for anything that has taken place in your personal life that may influence your decision. Please take this into consideration before you do something drastic.
The members need a place to call their own… “The Truckstop”.
Regards, RCT
