Have we come any closer to a decision? My thought is:Fleet build. Any fleet, real or fictional. That is all-inclusive of any builder's budget, ability, etc. Most kits come with fleet decals. Even if not, one could build the stripped down version of the truck since most, not all, but most trucks kits are owner operator spec trucks as they are packaged in the box. Even if there is no name on the door.

The trick is getting someone to print the decals for the name of this forum at this point. I'm all for this build in it's simplist form. Any truck could be eligible, from a straight truck to an Owner/Operator unit painted and detailed anyway the builder so chooses. From a fleet color to a custom job. We could also come up with "Fleet Colors" for this forum so we could paint our trucks the same colors to represent the fleet colored business. This build has the potential to become VERY big very quickly.

Well, we could go with black/silver or red/orange, or black/yellow or whatever...

Dark blue, white stripe with red frame. My dad drove for a heavy haul company painted like that ,one of my favorite schemes.I could take a picture of the signage and post it if needed,my dad still has a door sticker.I think he has a few more from other companys also. KEVIN

Well, if we do decide on a fleet based on the forum name may I suggest a variation. Many carriers have shortened their names over the years to their initials. Something like TSF(Truck Stop Forum) Transportation(or Trucking, Express, Transport, Transit, Motor Freight, whatever you wish). That would be cool. Just something to think about.
Here it is without all the parenthesis(did I spell that right?) lol
TSF Trucking TSF Transport TSF Motor Freight

Interesting. Would we all have to build the same model of truck, or could it be a varried fleet? Who will make the decals? I like TSF Motor Freight.

It risk of being beaten with empty parts trees Might I suggest yet another ...well... suggestion Pick your colors...any colors... By vote is likely best... Majority rule ya know... Talk to the decals guys... See if he ( or they) could produce TSF decals sorta on the cheap .. in return for several sets sold.. See.. this is what I had in mind... TSF is kinda like several MAJOR lines.. ( CF, Yellow, FEDEX , Roadway, Mason Dixon...etc etc) all types of trucks.. same colors and markings... This way... If you wanta go old school...say the beginning and build a B model Mack or midway point with a Freightliner COE DD... or maybe current with a Volvo or Pete ... or whatever... You could build what ever you wanted as far as kits go and still be included... Just my mind wandering...

Sorry... Didn't mean to step on any toes You didn't step on any toes. Not even worried about it. As we both said, anyone could build ANY type of commercial truck. From pickups for local deliveries to delivery vans to full blow custom O/O rigs, everything could be included.

I'd love to try and build and old K 100 cabover in Monfort Of Colorado colors. Maybe even an old KW conventional done up like that. I think I've seen one either on here or the other site. Excellent idea here you guys have going! The only problem with my idea is trying to make those big old decals the had on the side of their reefers. I might be biting off more than I can chew here!
