Is there going to be a CBP for 2011? Is the 2010 CBP still open? Working on a Volvo 780 expiditer in French Blue anyway. This sounds like a fun project. I'm new here, so I kinda missed TSF Lines.

It really seems like the TSF Lines build sort of fizzled out. When the logo couldn't be deceided on or made, well, it just sort of died out.

CBP's are good and I'm all for supporting one. But, as was mentioned before, it seems as though after the initial excitement of a CBP kickoff, the enthusiasm dies and we're left with a handful of completed projects. We had a couple offers to do up the decals for the TSF Lines CBP, but nothing ever came from the designs and people just basically gave up. The TSF Lines build was an open ended build so anyone could join in at any time and build their version of a rig from that theme. I basically am to the point with CBP's that people aren't that hip to them anymore. It's particularly hard with big rigs because the cost of truck kits is more than the regular car or truck kit and not everyone has money to go get a specific kit for a themed build. Therein lies the biggest obstacles. Cost is a huge factor, keeping the enthusiasm up is another, and just deciding on a subject itself is big headache as well. I guess to sum it up, if enough members express an interest, we might see what we can come up with, but I think the general consensus here is that after so many builds that have fizzled out to nothing, we're just happy to build our own projects the way we want without any set guidelines or rules.

I agree Jerry. Thre are always CBP's going on across the web on various forums. It gets to a point where you just have to say no to the ones that don't catch your fancy. I'm still trying to get the parts I need to begin a project for another CBP on my other forum. It's a slow process and when you have a bunch of different projects going at once, it's almost impossible to get any of them finished. Just depends on which forum you want to dedicate your time to I guess.

It's a slow process and when you have a bunch of different projects going at once, it's almost impossible to get any of them finished. Just depends on which forum you want to dedicate your time to I guess. ;D ;D ;D sounds not only like me but im sure it sounds like alot if not all of us at times! im still waiting not on parts though but the money issue is hitting me hard i say so i can get a couple kits just to finish up one cbp build i got going on over at another board and i have to wait to get $$$ somewhere at this time to get the paint to finish up a bunch of my projects cause without paint im stalled! so there lies the issue of not haveing enough $$$ for either the kit and or the paint and decals, aftermarket parts you want so you can build the model "YOUR WAY!" i know i asked you about it but im like the rest low $$$ means not much right know and its going to be a while before i finish any of my other projects in the first place. so once i can get some of my other models out of the way then i wouldnt mind doing another cbp here at some point in time. so again i want to but i cant at the moment... maybe down the road we may wait and do a 2012 cbp im sure i will have alot of my kits done and maybe with all the reissues comeing out we may be able to find one of the reissue kits and build it our way within the guidelines of the cbp to qualify! so happy modeling everyone! new goal for everyone: get a couple models done by the end of may! < hows that sound? oh before i forget im going to pm you bri with a question here in alittle bit soon as i finish uploading pics to my photobucket account!
