Hi, While i`m finishing the base for my Mcleans truck, I thought i`d have a go at a smaller scale truck. This is a scale i don`t normally do, The subject has been covered in larger scales. The kit is from the 80`s been sat on the shelf a while. I made a new frame but used the kit front for convenience, I added some brake detail & plumbing, made a new sleeper. Graham.

Hi, Bit more progress, I made the tanks from rolled plastic card also the grill surround, mirror brackets are thin wire, the stack is plastic tube & a car aerial, the wind deflector is cut from a food carton. Now for the wheels!! Graham.

Hi, I`ve got a bit more done,The first coat of primer is on & i`ve started to fill imperfections, The Bull bar is made from wire, plastic card & brass pins. The tires & rims are from a farm toy trailer, The front wheel dish is made from a button & plastic card & rod. The rear wheels are from the kit with plastic card dish & rod for hub. Graham.

Superb. Overall coat of primer really brings it all together (and looks like some of the desert scenes! ), the farm toy wheels look perfect on there. Do you know what brand of toy it was? May have to try and find some over here in Canada.......

Hi , Some of the decals will have to be redone, I think the ink is running low on the black, but anyway this is where its at now Chrome bits are ready to put on after some light weathering. The lights are made from acrylic gems, tyres need some tread also I have to make a Rubber Duck hood mascot as well, more soon. Graham.
