Hello! Here are some pictures of one of my latest "creations", a Grain Hopper. As example I took a Timpte with continous tub of the 80th and called Timpte for some details. By their discriptions I built the trailer. But they didn't remember, wether there was a bumper on it or not. So I let the bumper gone, like at the new AG- series. The side panels and the chassis are made from the Italeri Dry Van model, all the rest is made scratch. At all models I build, I'll mount metal axles for more stability. 3 1/2 pounds of load! Regards, Martin

That's a sharp rig that would look right at home on a Wisconsin highway. I like your axle upgrade and how you have made use of the Italeri van parts.

Hi guys!
The load simply is wheat- semolina. (Hope, thats the correct translation for "Weizengrieß"?)

Martin

That really looks good. The load is a nice touch. Nice Western Star as well.

I always enjoy something different. That grain trailer and load are a nice combo with the Western Star. Classy looking rig. Dan

I prefer trucks of the 70th, 80th and early 90th. All the modern trucks, wether european or american, are only made for saving fuel and there is "too much" desing on it - too much car-like. Ok, to save fuel is important, but the new models have no character, no face and looking like a round suckled pacificer. A truck needs a big grill, highpipes, eventually a hood and a shift stick!

Great looking grain hauler Martin! I'm tinkering with one myself but using the Trailmobile Exterior post trailer for the sides. Will be about 38' in 1/25 scale long when done. Also doing a pair of 24' pups from the "Double Header" kit from a couple years ago.
