Cab interior tub completed, floor mat made from Evergreen scribed styrene sheet (.020" thick, N scale car siding which provides ribbed texture), kit gas pedal. Clutch & brake pedals are part from Dodge L700 kit. Gear lever made from .032" brass wire and styrene bits, ribs on steering wheel spokes made using small diameter craft wire wound around spoke. Lettering started, black lettering printed on clear decal paper using CAD program and image of Air Canada maple leaf logo found on line. CN "noodle" is from HO scale boxcar decal set, a bit smaller than 1:1 photo shows but largest one readily available - did look for larger scale (O or S) decals however didn't see anything listed.

Cab shell underway, intake grilles built up with .010" x .020" styrene strip. (Interesting they weren't molded on kit cab as rest of tooling is done quite nicely on this truck). Molded on door handles and wipers will be replaced with free standing parts, a look at photo of real trucks shows no grab handle behind door so it was removed as well. Also, "C-series" trim badge is mounted higher on real truck than kit so molded on detail removed for replacement with donor badge from parts kit cab:

The :pulling one's hair out" stage...... mirrors! K&S .032" brass wire being used, ends can be flattened like real mirror brackets after annealing the wire. Brackets are drilled into cab for strength, styrene strip will be added after cab painted to represent flat section of bracket which bolts to cab.

Anothe fine build from yourself, mirror arms look neat. Have you looked on- brands of the world- for logo`s, They are vector files that can be resized to suit.
Keep up the good work. Graham

Mirror in place now, finish work still to be done. Reflective surface is cut from sheet of self adhesive chrome material it works well for mirror surfaces and also chrome bands such as fuel tank or air cleaner straps. Turn signal lights are red and amber lens glued on either side of .020" styrene disk. Door handles "pirated" from Dodge L700 kit. Not much chrome on this little fleet truck, what there is finished with Alclad.

Thank you gator, a bit more work on some freestanding detail items, AMT's promo origins show up with some things such as molded on emblems which are a bit shallow (again fairly good on the Ford C, really shallow on the Louisville). For this model I used a parts box donor cab and cut emblems from it, then sanded to desired thickness and covered with Bare Metal Foil: Tamiya clear yellow on light portion is a good match for amber lenses on mirror and turn signals. Strand of copper wire leading to mirror marker light is colored with BlackenIt chemical blackening solution, door lock cylinder made from disk punched out of K&S .016" sheet aluminum:

Exhaust system made using kit exaust pipe, styrene tube & strip for muffler, aluminum tube for outlet. Muffler clamps are .020" brass wire and .020" x .040" styrene strip, hangers are thin strips cut from .016" sheet aluminum as this material is easy to form and drill. Black washes used for initial weathering, still going to mist on black "road grime" with airbrush to tie everything together. Speaking of tie, kit plastic tie rod broke requiring replacement made from brass tube and 00-90 nuts & bolts. Oh well, better to happen now than while heading down I-81 or NY-12!

Looking good Robert. Amazing details as always. Heck, look at what you did with the muffler. Such a simple component and you made it look so realistic.

Thanks guys, one more simple improvement is replacement of molded on wipers with new ones built up using styrene strip. Windshield wipers are such a visible feature on 1:1 trucks that the molded on ones don't really capture the look:
