Hey folks, New here, great site. Got a few questions, 1. How is a tractor wheelbase measured, front axle to the first axle? or the second axle? 2. Can I turn an revell 359 pete into an extended hood version fairly easily? 3. Is it possible to get blue prints for different trailers for scatch building purposes? 4. any good books,DVD's, or any thing on how to make molds for casting resin cab's, and hoods and such, love to scatch build and would like to cast my own stuff, along with kit parts like suspension parts, and such, even offer stuff for sale eventually, so hard to find truck stuff these days !!! 5. any other good forums like this out there? thanks for the help folks, Dave

Welcome to the forum Dave 1. WB is measured from center of steer axle to center of tandem and on single axle trucks measured from the rear on the steer wheel the the rear of rear wheel. 2. Yes you can but I would not consider it easy! 3. Websites are the best way to get info on trailer and sometime the manufacturers website will have dimensions on spec sheets. Sometimes your eyes are the best ruler and sometimes scaling down to the exact measurement does not look right on the model. 4. Check out www.alumilite.com/ they have a lot of info on there. Check out the link section of this forum for aftermarket parts websites and a good place to start is Tim Ahlborn's links page tahlborn.web.aplus.net/id1.html for info on parts and reference pictures. 5. THIS IS THE BEST!!! Later

I must correct you Ajy. On tandem drive truck the WB is measured from center of steer axle to the center point between the rear drive wheel
