Hey Yall, Been lurking around here for awhile, decided it was time to sign up. My name is Anthony and I live in Mo. Used to drive a truck, been out of it 'bout 9 years, and yup, it was a cabover kw aerodyne and mostly pulled flatbeds. Used to build model trucks a long time ago, trying to get back into it again. Looks like I found the right place to give me that final push to get me going again.

Great to have you here Anthony. Your story seems to hit home with so many of us here. Like you, I also built truck models fervently as a kid and loved every minute of it. I wish I had a dime for every Movin On Kenworth, Watkins Kenworth, Turnpike Pete and White Freightliner cabover I had accumulated over the years. Not many othe rmodelers back then shared my passion of trucks though. Most all the other kids who built models liked to build 'Vettes, street rods and other subjects. Over the years, I also deviated from my trucks and turned to Nascar mostly. I still have over 400 Nascar kits in my collection with enough decals to build another 500, no joke. But, I have missed building my big rigs and am now getting back into it with more passion than ever before, thanks in great part to the awesome guys here. You will definitely find your motivation here, that's for sure. From the old AMT kits to the newer Italeri trucks and even some awesome scratchbuilt projects along the way, the whole gamut is covered here. Feel free to jump right in and get your feet wet Anthony. We look forward tog etting to know you better as time goes on and we also look forward to seeing your work. Feel free to ask questions, post tips or techniques, reference pics and what-have-you. Again, welcome to what is quickly becoming the largest online community for commercial modelers. It's great to have you here!!!!

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I wish I had every model truck that I've built back right now. Think I've had just about every AMT kit at one time or another, and a few of them several times over ;D. Kenworth's bein my favorite My other passion was WWII planes, mainly from the pacific side of things. Then real lif took over an I forgot all about buildin models for a long time. I managed to keep 1 Watkins Kenworth truck that I kitbashed some, and a frameless end dump trailer that I made from 2 of the AMT tri-axle dump trailers. They're both lookin a little ruff around the edges now. Might be a good time for a rebuild Guess I got lazy, but kinda got back into buildin planes again a few years back. What I mean being lazy is, I made em for Microsoft flight sims. Not really hands on stuff, but still alot of hard work to it. The only advantge was, that when I got one done, I could fire up the flight sim an take it for a spin Right now I'm tryin to kit-bash a hopper bottom trailer for hauling grain. I got purty good reference material................ I just happen to be drivin one right now ;D

Welcome and would love to see your builds if you have any left from long ago. I know what its like to have a copy of every AMT made. I have a shed full of the old kits waiting to get built.

Don't have but one truck an one trailer left, an they're in purty bad shape.
Been slowly strippin down the kenworth for a rebuild, might can get a shot of the frameless dump trailer though. Will have to stick a runnin gear under it.
