Finished up the rig last night. Everything went well. From the stock kits I added the tractors front tow hooks, hydraulic tank for trailer, trailer connections, frame floor plate, braided radiator hose, and sectioned and butterfly hinged the hood. I was real happy that the hood worked out and it functions excellently. That involved cutting the hood, removing a bit of material, adding a piece of round stock to each half, fabricating the middle hinge, drilling two small holes in the firewall, adding a piece at the radiator cap and cutting a small opening for the center hinges. This project has been in the making for several months and actually involved building the tractor twice (first try didn't go so well),. The paint is Rustoleume Old Caterpillar Yellow and Tamiya Green with some small items Titanium Silver and Flat Black. The dolly was constructed from parts I had in an incomplete dump trailer kit. I was after the look of a newly refurbished old rig. Hope it's alright for the number of pictures. What do you think of it?

Nice work on the Autocar. I think you got the refurbished old rig look just right. And that trailer's pretty spiffy, too.

It took me awhile to finally get the second trailer finished. I still need to do the brake lines (if I decide to do that yet). Here are some pics of the complete rig.
