I don't drive big truck professionally. Just a lowly tow truck driver. But i have been around trucks all my life. Here are pics of some of my father's trucks. The Kenworths he used to own. The Petes were company trucks for a company in Los Angeles he used to drive for off and on. 1976 Pete 1998 Pete 1985 KW 1996 KW

Our Dept screwed up and got the 3.08 gears not the 3.55's we had in my last car. I know in the corners I'd catch up. These new one's have 17" wheels and corner great. If that doesn't work, Motorola will beat ya!!

Here is my old Pete after being refurb'ed. It was originally yellow with red and blue vinyl stripes. The truck has since been sold and is now long gone and the shop I worked for that owned the truck has since been sold. This is what the truck looked like after it was redone by the dealer who ended up with it. I believe my old boss traded this rig for a Kenworth/Challenger truck, but I'm not sure. I never returned to work for him so I didn't follow up on it. I know he did have a new Kenworth in his fleet though that seemed to appear right after the Pete went bye-bye. I was with this truck when I was injured and lost 4 years worth of work. I miss my old Pete and hope someday I will be able to maybe start my own heavy duty towing operation. I know if I do I will definitely have at least one Pete 378 with a Challenger wrecker body. The only downfall was this truck was not a Rotator, but it still could tow one huge load. Man, I miss that truck!

;D ;D ;D ...and here is my beloved, Miss Debra Ann. She was named after my mother. 1999 379 xtended hood. Cummins N14 500, fuller 10 spd(which I had an 18 spd lined up for it), DS404 rears@3.70, 256" WB. That long nose went in some tight places!! ;D I loved this old girl. Not bad for a first truck. 3 1/2 happy years. I just ound the sleeper to be cramped and poorly laid out for storage, although I was looking into an ICT 86" sleeper. I added many of these gauges myself. Remember, it's an old Marten Transport company tractor, so I redid A LOT in this cab. Alomst everything on this tractor I added myself, very little was done in the shop, except the replacement hood. To everyone else it was a blue Pete, but she was my girl. The one thing I wish I had done was get my chicken wing up there. I was waiting until I had it painted. I spent 3 weeks at home last June while I did some engine work, and installed this bumper, among other things. New radiator, air compressor, water pump, and some minor repairs, while she sat in the driveway. She deserved to be pampered. I sold her with 1.2 million NOT-OVERHAULED miles . She earned it. Here's the 48x102 2006 Utility FS2 CHA that I was matching to the truck with a load of train wheels on. I turned that trailer back in. I pull an '07 now. Same thing, but no aluminum wheels. I was very proud of this truck, because it never let me down. Like my mother, she was stubborn, but ready to work. If it had a bigger sleeper, I would still have it. That was my only complaint. I needed a frame stretch for a bigger one, and I was eventually going to need an overhaul. I figured I would be better off going with a truck that had more space. WRONG!!!!!!!! I never did mind getting out the tools for that truck. It took care of me, and I returned the favor. Oh well, I can start over with my KW. Thanks for letting me babble like a fool for a min. I guess you could say I get attached to my equipment, but I entrust my life to it everyday, so I want my trucks and I to, well, shall we say, "Get Along".
