This is my summer run to the hobby shop truck 1966 chevy 350 c.i. with a 5 speed. Can you believe that I paid $3000. for this truck. The guy in Chicago was building a Harley for his girlfriend and ran out of money. BOY I hope she was worth it. ( the girlfriend I mean )

Color was white with red frame no sleeper like the top picture. These are small size like the dodge 700. Duh, here I go again, Isn't that a dodge next to the white in the bottom picture !!!

I don't drive big truck professionally. Just a lowly tow truck driver. But i have been around trucks all my life. Here are pics of some of my stepfather's trucks. The Kenworths he used to own. The Petes were company trucks for a company in Los Angeles he used to drive for off and on. 1976 Pete 1998 Pete 1985 KW 1996 KW Here are a couple more pics of the trucks my stepfather used to drive. The black 79 Pete was part of the same company that owned the other 2 Petes. The Freightliner is actually a truck he drove very shortly for another company. His main rides at this company were a GMC Astro, then a Mack Ultraliner. I have been aqquiring the parts to build a replica of the black 79 Pete using 2 AMT 352 Pete kits. I am also planning to build my Mack Cruiseliner kit as a Good Tables truck, possibly. That black 79 Pete 352-110 has been my favorite truck ever since i was a little kid. I have seen and rode in a lot of nice and nicer trucks. But that Pete will always be my fave. You just can't beat a black Pete with a red frame.

Although I do not drive with the big boys I do want to share my baby with you all. Here are 2 pictures ...the before and after. My baby is now named "Gertrude" and she will be featured in a Fox Atomic movie called "The Rocker" which will be out in August of 2008 ( you can see a clip on the foxatomic website) Fox took the coach and did what they called "movie magic " and modified her into the after picture..and that is the way she is today. I am under contract with fox right now and cannot return her to her former self until the movie comes out ...and now they are talking a sequel so she may stay like this for awhile ....I sure do love he and she has a great vibe ...all beat up like she is ...fox will not even let me wash her for fear that the distressing that she wears will come off ....drives me crazy because I would wash and polish her all the time depending on usage...hope you like her ! Now for the details ... 1989 Eagle Model 15 45 foot 6V92 low turbo ZF Auto all the bells and whistles 6 bunk 1 bath Dual lounge Here is the before ........... [img src="[/img] i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm61/michaelrotta/28polishshop29after200141.jpg"] And here is the after...taken at the Rock and Roll HOF in Cleveland on the day I picked her up to come home... I guess I need to update the pic in here since the T600 is gone. Here is my 2000 Pete 379 ext hood with an N14-525 and 18 spd. The big blue thing I'm hauling in this pic is a mold/form that is going to be part of a precast concrete section going into a new stadium. Accoring to what I was told, this will be supporting a upper level seating section.

Ray,
That's a nice looking Pete! I hope you have better luck with this one that the blue T600.
Ok, this might be a silly question given your screen name, but I always see a flatbed trailer behind your trators. Do you own your own trailer, or do you work for a company that uses flatbeds?

Not a silly question at all. Given my screenname, I've owned 2 Petes and 1 KW ;D ;D. LOL. Kenworths were always my favorite, but I always loved the 379. As to my trailer, I'm leased to Fikes Truck Line of Hope, AR. I lease this trailer, as they own no equipment. They have a leaase program where you get the trailer and make weekly payments on it. I hope to buy a trailer eventually, but all my flatbeds I leased from Twin City Trailer, which is the Utility dealer where we get our trailers from. I wish I still had my first one, it was brand new when I got it. We turn these in 4 new ones every 2-3 years, with the option to buy. I can buy one from them now, taking one that came off the lease, but I am trying to find a lighter trailer. I really would like to have an EAST or Reitnouer, but I will have to see what I can start out with.

Minus a few little bugs that I fixed myself, this truck is a far cry from the T600. I only had one thing go wrong so far and I got it repaired that day. It needed a fuel pump. I don't mind repairs such as this as they are simple. Overall this truck was cared for by its previous owner. The stack of maintenence reciepts that I got to look through b4 buying it, told me I was buying a well maintained piece of equipment. I am definately happy with this one.
