"If I had been a little sharper I would have extended the axle through the hub so that I could adjust the cable tension without having to reach inside the drum with a dental pick" This statement makes me want to first, LOL, and second, CRY! My gosh, you did an outstanding job building from scratch! And to say 'been a little bit smarter' would make you 10 times smarter than me and times more talented. Take your right hand, reach over your left should and give yourself a big pat on the back. You are very, very talented!!!! Bruce

Thanks Bruce and all I flattered by your comments, however I don't think that I'm any smarter or more talented than the rest of you modelers here. I may have more experience and some more free time but thats about it. Scratch building is about breaking the project down into a bunch of manageable little models then assembling the all the sub-models into the finished thing. It only requires a bit more perseverance than building a normal kit but the same basic modeling skills are used. And the finished product is uniquely yours. Every modeler should try a scratch build project at least once. Carl
