Here is one of my newest build up's. These rescue tyoe trucks were built by a company called Approved, from Rockville N.Y., from the 40's thru the 60's.. A very different looking truck to say the least, but i can see the style of the late 40's very clearly..i'm constucting this truck from several different item, kit parts/resin parts/scratchbuilt parts.. Work progresses, but here are a few pics. I have an album of pic's in my fotki site if anyone wants to have a look, dave.

"Before I tell you where I am, Sheriff, there's just one thing I wanna say. You must be part coon dog, 'cause I've been chased by the best of them, and son, you make 'em look like they're all runnin' in slow motion. I just wanna say that. "

thanks for the nice comments guy's. i've made a few error's in trying to replicate the real truck, i should have made the area behind the cab doors a little longer, but maybe for the next one i do??i've been playing around with the engine alittle today, i stole the big block out of the 65 chevell wagon kit, still needs more detail painting, here's a pic.

here's an updated pic of the body.. i re-worked the side's, i had them a little to short, and rounded to much. i've also been working on getting the cab and body blended together, still have a little more to do, but it's coming along.

Thanks for the nice comments guy's. Well i had a chance to get some painting done yesterday, took a whole can of model master's flame red to get it covered, and i still may have to go back and re-paint the hood??I'm happy with the color, but it may look a little darker than the 1:1, but who's looking right , here's a pic, and i have a few more up on my fotki site, like Bsoder said, just click on the link in my sig block.. thanks for looking, dave.

thanks for the nice comments guy's.. i have a few more new pics tonight, well this morning since it's 12:30 at night.... i started to do the pin stripe on the doors and hood.. i bought some 1/8 inch wide auto pin stripe yesterday, and sliced it in half, it still may be a little to wide, but i'm going to live with it. i would like to replicate the stripes on all the compartment doors, but i'm no harry houdini, it would be very hard to do all those corners , and get them right. here's a couple pics, more in my fotki album.. thanks for looking, dave.
