I recently picked up a 1/32 Kenworth T-600A at my LHS. Looks like a nice little kit. The kit box says that it's a T-600A. When did Kenworth introduce the T-600? Were there only two models (T-600 & T-600B)? If I remember correctly, the T-600 (or T-600A if you prefer) used the same cab as the W-900, and the T-600B used a new cab. When was the T-600B rolled out? I looked at Truckpaper.com to get an idea, and there was quite a bit of overlap in model years between the T-600A & T-600B.
Thanks,

Well, let's say for sure that it was model year 1990 when the "B" model T600 showed up. The cab only changed slightly from what I could see in brochures, mainly that the one piece windshield was introduced. Otherwise, same cab. The Cab clearance lights were moved into the visor, and the air horns moved to the underside of the cab, pretty much right below the driver's seat if I remember right. I hope that helps. The T600B changed for 1995, mainly in the hood. The front fenders became removable, and a turn signal lamp put into the rear of the front fenders, which had a different contour at the rear. Your 1/32 kit, as well as the Revell AG T600's, represent a 1986-1989 T600, while the AMT/Ertl kit represents a 1990-1994 T600.

Thanks, Ray. Somehow I kneew you'd know. So both kits are T-600s (aka T-600A), but different years. What year was your "Blue Lemon" T-600? That was a T-600B, right?
Know what's strrange about the 1/32 kit? The frame is stamped "Copyright 1980". I wonder if they used the same froam for an earlier model as it has the spring suspension as opposed to the 8-bag air-ride.

Mine was a 2002 T600B ACA. The ACA stands for Aerocab Aerodyne. The Aerocab was introduced in 1994. Initially on the T600, but made it's way to the T800 and W900.
As for the Monogram kit, it just might be a re-used frame. That's how the AMT kit was made. Unfortunately, that is why we will never see a re-issue of the W925. It's molds were changed to make the T600 Kit, hence the numerous inaccuracies, and lack of the 8 bag air-ride susp. on that kit as well.
