Don't forget guys, today is Election Day in the good ole US of A. While we may not agree with the agendas of the parties running for president and our local offices, it is still a privelage for us to be able to make our voices heard on this special day. I would hope that each of us able to do so, goes and makes their voice heard today by casting your vote for not only President, but also for the representatives of your local government offices. Remember, it's a privelage and a right!

Well I voted and it sure seems my voice didn't mean squat, locally or nationally

I agree Mark. Seems the only place my voice is heard is here.

I feel for the new guy no matter which party got in. (even though we now know who..) The mess this country is in....it's going to take some time and a H*LL of ALOT of working together by both parties to get the ship leveled again. We need to stop knocking each other down and start picking each other up. To quote Todd from 9/11...."Let's Roll!"

we need to stop knocking each other down and start picking each other up. Bruce in Fargo Unfortunately the new guy is going to knock people down to pick up other who won't or don't want to pick themselves up. All you had to do was listen to what he said. He didn't say it in those exact words but that is a fair translation of it.

I know a lot of people just didn't vote because so many people weren't overly crazy about either of them. That's the way it was in my neighborhood. I would've loved a clean slate with 2 different guys(or gals) myself, but oh well. I voted 4 the lesser of 2 evils in my honest opinion.
I drove home with no load just to vote. It doesn't make me special, but I was proud to do it. Unfortunately, my presidential vote didn't pan out, but some other issues on the ballot I cared about passed, so I at least got that. Well, that and some very much needed days off.
And as 4 change, well, he promised and delivered on that one. In 30 years of being alive, I never saw such an ugly campaign, where friends and family, school children, and people from so many different parts of society turned against each other. Hopefully people can get back to normal eventually. The supporters of the winning campaign had that one ugly label(and we all know what that was) that they could use against anyone who voted for, or agreed with the other guy. That was shameful. My 14 yr old stepson had that label thrown his way at school. Because of that, I was glad to see he didn't get a 90% landslide of a vote. It was a lot closer than predicted, and I got a big smile out of that part at least.
At least it was over quick. I haven't watched a news broadcast since. I needed a break. This election season lasted way too long.
