I figured I would throw this out there just for kicks. What was your favorite kit out of all the ones you ever built? Whether it went together really well, was detailed nicely as it came in the box, or even if it gave a little trouble during assembly, there is that favorite that you would love to build again given the chance. For me, it's a bit of a tie between AMT's W925 and the Revell of Germany Pete 359. I enjoyed building both of these, although I never could get the Pete's hood to open without the fenders hitting the air cleaners. Maybe I didn't mount it right, but I liked that kit.

The Revell K100 areodyne along with other Revell kits they look better than Italeri so now I have to pay more for them cause they don't make the number of kits as they use to

I know this may sound strange, but my favorite came about because of the box art. I like the AMT pete Pacemaker Cabover. When it first came out, it was in a box showing it at night with an eerie sky, setting the background for a fuel complex. Iowa's WHO radio had a trucker's music show on at night. I still remember building that kit with that playing in the background.

For me it was the AMT Kenworth W925 and the AMT GMC General. Maybe it's nostalgia, but I built those kits a long time ago so I don't really remember if they gave me any issues. I do have two Generals in my stash right now, but sadly no KW W925s.

My 2 favorite kits would have to be the AMT Pabst Blue Ribbon Duel Drive Freightliner and the AMT Tennessee Hauler. Have 2 Duel Drive Freightliners in my stash right now but neither of them are the Pabst one, but they all build the same way, just that the decals are different. The Tennessee Hauler is a fun build as you have a race car with it. Something a little different than just another truck. Jeff

For me a couple kits come to mind. The first kit was the AMT Mack R685ST original issue kit. That was the first truck that really turned out halfway decent for me and I painted it a maroon with the Roadway decals on the doors. I wasn't worried about the right colors and such then, but it looked good. The other kit was the Movin On Kenworth. I used to only work on that truck when the show was on t.v. I would break out the t.v. tray and start working on it when Merle Haggard's voice started singing the title song. When the show ended an hour later I packed the kit up until the following week. Once I had one KW done I would break out another and start building it all over again. As a kid, that show and Emergency were my all time favorites and they still are today.

Having a handful of older amt kits myself I love the boxart also. The other 2 kits I really enjoyed building were the Mack R and the International Transtar 2. The International went together really nicely from what I remember.

I would have to agree with the Kenworth W925, I got 3 more (movin' on) in my stash for when my modeling improves And the Revell Kenworth K100 I found good to build as well and a bit more detailed as in the doors opening, I also found the Ertl Internationals pretty good.

I love the looks of the 352 Pete but i have heard that the quality of the kit is kind of lacking. As far as truck kits i have and put together had i would have to say the ones that seemed to be of better quality are the Italeri Pete 377, the Revell Ford Areomax, and the Ertl International cabover.
