They shipped that thing from Rhode Island to Nevada? What did they use, a train?

Jimb, no they sent it via truck the crane is actually used to assemble and disassemble itself. These cranes disassemble into nice little pieces that fit on standard trailers. Here is a link to an excellent video showing the break down process: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntykqAFyehU

Great reference shots, Nathan. You can never have enough! Thanks for PM ing me and bringing my attention to it. That Youtube breakdown was cool too. I got to be on hand to watch a partial breakdown of a Link Belt 200 ton truck crane, I got lotsa pix. I learned more that day than in any whole month previous! The crew was pretty tollerant of this foamer standing around (me) , but the main boss guy was extremely helpful to me, and allowed me to get up on and in the machine at times when it was safe to do so and take pictures. He explained how the breakdown in general goes, including the remainder that I couldn't stay for. That was HUGE in developing my model. I'll post some pics. Dan
