Really nice build!! I saw this on another site and liked it. I have a bunch of questions for you> And possibly some tips!
Is that a model of a 3900? I ask because of the way you have the boom rigged! As for a photo, only way you can get it all in a,pic is to do it with a short boom, head and heel, or just heel section! and possibly laid down. As for putting it on a lowboy, I am not sure if you have to remove the house from the car body or just remove the tracks. I am sure the counterweight has to come off.
On the boom, I don't know for sure if these came with round chords or the angle type. I just found some hinges that will work for boom connections for either type . Depending on how you want to do it. I also have some plastic sheaves that look the part. I just need to find some one to cast them??
I look forward to sharing info with you.

nice build, love the old friction rigs. One thing, you should have pendant cable connecting the bridle to the boom top. as of now, with the bridle pinned off to the heal section that would be if you were assembling or dis-assembling the real rig. If a pic was made as in the photos, the boom would collapse.

Rich it is set up for set up/tear down however Southgate made these cool shackles so I took the picture that way.
Gator sorry I missed your post I used allot of pics of the 3900 but was just going for a load on my detachable. The whole crane comes apart the tracks, house, boom, counter weight.
Thanks for looking

That is a super cool build bonze. I'm trying my luck on a crawer crane also. I read that you said after two years, well I believe it. I'm just finishing the track portion of mine and I hope now mine will move. It feels like I've been bogged down with it. I would like more info on the upper boom part you displayed. Like how you did it..he he any help would be very nice. Thanks for sharing bonze Kerry

Kerry no prob just ask away. As for the two years, this was the first crane i ever made. I had a ton of pics but no measurements so allot of trial and error.
