After being out on the road for a month I have decided if any of the staff members want the responsibility of this forum then contact me asap. Pro Boards for some reason did not pull the forum down so I take that as an omen. Contact me if you want to take it over and it's yours.

I am new here but I have seen many other modeling forums, a few dedicated to big rigs but most just to modeling in general. This forum is the best by far, for big rig enthusiast. So why post anywhere else? People in general like to show off their work to many people as possible and get accolades for a job well done. We all do, it just human nature. Sure you can post here, but you already know what is thought of your work on this forum, so people tend to go outside the box and post other places to get other views of their work. Several years ago I had a forum for my high school with a website about the history of the school. For a time it was great, but after a year people started posting pictures and other information in different high school related forums that were connected to schools that were also in the county where my school was, but not my forum. Also for a long period only a few people posted. For a time I was upset, and I considered closing the forum, but I realized that they just want to touch as many people as possible and reconnect with friends from nearby school. Granted this is not a school related site and you don' t have people wanting to reconnect with old friends. But it does bring to light social media. Three years ago I deleted the forum and created a social media group on the "preferred" social media site. Connected the school history site to the group and since then it has grown with leaps and bounds. I'm not saying it is right for you, but it sure is a lot easier than trying to maintain a forum such as this. The problem with social media is that some people will not join just because it's social media. They don't want their personal information and pictures for everyone to see. But they can join the group and not be on social media. Thirteen percent of my member are by e-mail only. Those members can post and read post through there emails. Anyway it is just a thought, and you can take it for what it is worth to you. I have found where I want to be. And I don't plan on posting to any other forum because what I care about is right here. I may not post that much but I am looking and reading every day. Love the Truckstop, and keep up the good work.
