Although it has been quite awhile since I have driven, I still miss it and would like to go back to it at least on a part time basis. My first question is, does anyone know of any companies here in the Atlanta area that use weekend drivers; and what is the best way to get a CDL again without signing your life away? Thanks for your help, Bob

Well Bob, I can tell you right now that with the terrorist threats and security concerns in our country after 9/11, you can bet you will be investigated and put through a whole new host of steps in order to obtain your CDL. It's just the way it is now unfortuantely. As for weekend driving jobs in the Atlanta area, that's something you'd most likely have better luck checking locally in that particular area.

Hey Brian, Thanks for the reply. I have searched some of the Atlanta area job listings but keep turning up full time which isn't possible at this time. Also the same problem with the schools that are designed to get the CDL; they want full time if it's a company school or a bundle if it's a private one. I don't mind the commitment, just can't afford to leave the job I'm in right now. May try knocking on some doors in the area and see if I can get back in that way. Thanks for the info. Also, the forum is great!! Tnaks. Bob
