I scratchbuilt some new shock mounts for the rear suspension. Between studying my reference pix, and fishing for the parts, I spent more time than I wanted to dealing with these mounts, but they are done. I snapped a pic b4 completion, as I was losing daylight, but all 4 shock mounts are on. Plus I did play with some other stuff. I will post more progress tomorrow night. Hopefully, I will be further along on the frame. I still have to fix that crossmember.

Not much, but at least I got something done. Overhead console in the cab. I just have to add the visor and stereo, then I can call this part done. Hopefully more progress will come later this week. Thanks for looking.

Ok. Time for an update. I've spent a lot of time trying to get the interior to look right. I've painted, stripped, and repainted several times. It's Tamiya flat blue(I see I need to touch up some spots) The seats are this color on the sides, while the upper surfaces are a combination of a very light blue with Testors and Tamiya blues dry-brushed over it for sort of crushed velvet/cloth look. Could be better but it's my first attempt. The floor and lower door panels are "carpeted" with a light blue carpet material I found years ago from an ad in Scale Auto. It's a little thick, but I didn't realize until I installed it. The seats, steering wheel, and the upper portion of the rear wall are from the RevellAG 359. I drilled out the holes in the steering wheel. The used and abused Road Atlas is part of the KFS "Cab Junk" set. It comes as just the cover, spread out, and you fold it and paint it. I cut a strip of paper and folded it to give the illusion of pages, and folded the atlas cover around it. This overhead console is made up of scraps from a cut up Revell AG 359 cab. The CB radio is from an AMT kit w/BMF on the face. Look closely and you will see the horn cord(Thanks Win! ) I just have to add visors. I'm installing a Silver 92 Detroit Diesel in this truck, so I searched and searched until I found a real 359 with a Silver 92 under the hood. The truck I found had a snigle air cleaner, on the Driver's side. I firgured I would try it. Here are my hood mods. This is the first time I've done anything like this to a hood. It could've been better, but I think it came out alright. Thanks 4 looking.

Looking pretty good, Ray. Hey, if you don't try new things you never improve your skills, right? At least that's what i keep telling myself!

The CB looks good with the chrome face and black cord! they never put much detail into the CB! I like the shock mounts

I was going to spray a coat of primer on my hood when inspiration struck. I whipped out my trusty Dremel and I removed the flat section from the front of the hood where the grille snaps into place, and I trimmed the grille out as well. It already has a dramatic effect on its appearance . I have some grille material that resembles the real thing, and that will be used to fill in the grille.
