Hello truckbuilders,i want to show what i do with the "beautiful" revell tires that them look better on the model. 1st i put some double-sided tape on the wheelzz. Then i put some material (don`t know the english word) in the tire. After that i put the tire on the wheel. And so it lookz after all.

That's a good tip! really looks like there is air in them. Now to make them look like they have been on a road, give the treads a quick rub with fine sandpaper to get rid of the shiney black colour

Nice tip!! The Trumpeter fire truck comes with foam tire inserts to #1, keep the tires from flattening due to model weight & #2, gives a nice sidewall look. It's a shame other manufacturers don't include something similar.

thank you out there,i am real satisfied with that look.well,to make the tires look used i use some dust from sanding model-partz.i keep that dust in a small ox and put the tire in it and shake it a little in that dust.i think that is a bit easier then other methodzz.have a nice day guyzz.

I understand what you are accomplishing with the close cell foam but what does the double faced tape do and what width tape are you using?

Another method is to use cotton in the tire.Just stuff cotton around the tire put rim on then poke the cotton left out under the rim to hide in.
