Imo if its a fleet color it should be a non metallic.I like Tamiya "Brilliant blue" and think it would be a decent fleet color. I was really liking the idea of Krylon pumpkin orange and black cause ive already got one in progress with those colors and i like to match stuff up. I have a metallic blue tractor in my case and it disappears behind the cars i have parked in front of it. I think the orange would POP more.if its blue make it a lighter color

2:24 est. 102 votes, will we see a fleet of 102. It would be cool. As far as the name goes..... Since we have members from all over the world I think it should be something like TSF Word Wide Logistics. This way no matter where your at your covered.

I agree totally with your idea Mark. That name will include everyone, regardless of location!

The polls have closed and the winning color combo is blue & silver. It was a close competition between black and orange and blue and silver, but in the end the latter won out. Stay tuned for definitive colors tomorrow so we can all plan accordingly. Thanks to everyone who voted!!!! Now let's hope we have as many projects in the CBP!!!!

Very nice! Ok, stupid question time! Are we all going to be building the same model, or can it be any model from the "stash"? What about paint scheme? Should they all be painted the same? You know, all the COEs with one scheme & the conventionals with another, or am i making this too complex?

Very nice! Ok, stupid question time! I don't think there stupid because that is what cme to my mind a well after the question of specic blue came up. I though it would be any shade of blue. NOT..... Wrong again it looks like. I'm willing o bet this will become a long drawn out prcess like in the past. Personally I woul like to be an owner operator leased on to TSF with a blue and silver of my choice. But that's my opinion and I'm not mking the rules on this one.

If you plan to build an Owner/Operator truck, the chances of the owner actuallky having a truck with the colors of the fleet are slim to none. So, with that being said, if it's an Owner/Operator unit, then who knows what color the truck would be? We don't have to make this a long drawn out process either. As was posted earlier, an easily obtainable paint is the ultimate goal and we must keep in mind our brothers across the pond too. We want to include as many people in this as possible. It's only going to be as drawn out as we make it, that's the way I see it.

I think the K I S S (Keep it simple, stupid) theory keeps things more fun. i know im stupid so it needs to be simple. how bout just saying light to medium non metallic blue and more blue than silver? as i said in an earlyer post, it seems to me that a lighter color will stand out better.

In my opinion, the most important thing is having the TSF name on the truck. As I posted earlier, Owner/Operators don't go and have their trucks painted when they lease out to a company. They add the name of the company they are hauling for to their truck and go to work. We can do the same thing here if you want to go the O/O route.

I think I may do both... Company truck first.. then the O/O truck... Thinking I may do a cabover as my company rig then "upgrade" to a Pete 378

Model Master french blue is nice, and it's fairly easy to use, as it covers well in a couple coats. To me, a darker blue might look better with silver. Just my 2 cents. Dan

If you plan to build an Owner/Operator truck, the chances of the owner actuallky having a truck with the colors of the fleet are slim to none. Certain carriers insisted on it. Fallen flag West Coast Truck line was all owner operator but the fleet colors were green and orange. The van lines require it still. But owner ops leased to TSF with their own colors is cool, too. Although most carriers give you signs for your truck, many drivers go have their signs made by a sign shop instead. I did when I was at Fikes. Just some thoughts for those who wish to try either way.

I guess it depends on who you're leasing to. Swift only requires you have their name on their trucks to haul for them. they don't have to be white.

Wasn't the whole idea of picking colours is that all the CBP would be a matched TSF fleet? If people don't want that scheme on their truck, don't put it in the CBP.I don't know, but I'm doing mine in the TSF paint.Who am I to say? Maybe trucks that don't match should have a trailer with TSF on the sides?
