TSF Worldwide Logistics has opened a 24 hour full service terminal . Located on "truck row" on I 55 North in Burton, MS next to the truckstop. My first truck is a parts box rescue.. A daycab pete 359 as the terminal's yard truck .. It's my first time doing a full sized kitbash and hoping to add resin steel wheels .. cuz I HATE the kit wheels and tires Photos as soon as my numbers are approved by the bosses

You Didn't tell us what Pete you're starting with. I'd guess its the Revell (or Monogram) snap kit. Gotta be the worst tires ever made. Dan

The TSF Terminal Manager must be a pretty powerful man... On his lunch break he rode down to the Peterbilt Dealership just down "Truck row" and got the terminal a new "Yard Truck" .... Snatched it from another company and told the salesman to paint it in our colors...
Remind me not to cross him... ;D
I got my cab and hood repainted ... Had to used Krylon true blue and Testor Silver....
I reworked the stack to make it shorter, made a daycab from the kit cab and interior.. and have a temporary rolling chassis...
I got one small problem so far...I had to paint my fenders silver right? Now I need a good color to paint all the metal parts so that the grill , Battery boxes etc... doesn't match the fenders
Any ideas? I picked up a can of Krylon Matte Aluminum... but I can't tell a difference in it and the silver..
Photos Friday

Try respraying the fenders black then coat them in silver, this will make them darker. Also paint the shiny parts white then spray in matt alum. That should give you some shade differences.I've used testors chrome on some alum. parts looks pretty good. You could also spray a coat of dull coat over the chrome.

This build has really surprised me.... First.. It's my first kitbash.. as I actually took a sawblade to it and cut it up... not half bad job for my first time out... I shortened and angled the stack on the passenger side and nixed the driver side one...
Second.. it's the first kit that I'm working with some scratchbuilt items... An airline box, airlines, a pogostick and a headache rack are on line to be worked in this weekend.. I may "fiddle with the rear end a bit before it's done .
Third.. This is the first project that I'm planning resin parts on as I wanted to add two hole steel wheels and a few other minor pieces...
It's turning out to be the most fun I've had with a project in a long time...

Started with this... It's a Revell Snap 359 that was given to me as a " I ain't buildin' a Snap kit" gift... I put it in the spares box and nearly forgot it... I had painted it for a AEA&S truck .. but .. AEA&S The whole cab Made a daycab of the cab and interior Shortened the stack to give it a "fleet" like look Kit stack on the left... new "fleet" stack on the right Now the TSF Colors Scratchbuilt headache rack.. with Kylon Matte Aluminum The truck so far .. to this point Soory for some of the blurry photos but I promised photos today

Thanks It is my VERY FIRST scratchbuilt anything It's kinda like me... looks better the further away you are from it... I traced the cab and matched the measurements... ( window and cab width) added window protectors and then stock to the sides to simulate thickness.. found the doors and diamond plate in my junk box... Found the "airlines box" from there too and "adapted" it to suit my needs... then added handle bars to the sides. Still got a bit of work to it.. and gonna add some lights( brake and backup) to it too I took photos along the way to document it in case I wanted to repeat it for the next truck.... Cuz I'll screw it up otherwise
