Cass or others: What resin would you recommend putting in a 1/25 Kenworth W900 or T900 Australian?
How about a 1/24 Peterbilt 377 or 378?
I have several of these, and I want to use a different prime mover...

Kevin: Will the kat600 require extending or raising the hood? Looks like a BIG block... Cass: Any issues fitting in the c15?

The kta will need the 900L hood from P&P ( The KTA is 1150ci )
The C15 should go right in the Pete

Thanks everyone for the advice. The C15 is coming from Melbourne and it is 1/25, Eric says it will drop right into the 378. When I get the kta600 I will let the group know if it also fits into the w900 or t900 w/out mods - the jury seems out on this one.
What trucks on the existing model market would take a 3406?

Oh yes Macks were powerded by Cat, too. Or better said it was possible to order one. For exampel the R492 could be powered by the 3208 and the R754 could be powered by the 3406T. If they were really used, I do not now I never find a pictures in the internet as a refereces for that.

The Cummins NTC 350? also comes in the AMT KW T600 Areodyne and Canepa version.
New Revell Pete 359 kit has a Cat 3406 in it, as well as one of Revells W900 Areodyne kits.

I am planning on building Italeri's Pete 378 as a long nose 379 but i would rather power it with a Cat. I dont plan on updating the truck to a newer model year so what do you suggest? I wouldn't be against installing the KTA600 engine but i am guessing it's too new for that truck. I assume i would have to update the interior and cab doors with the resin parts to have the truck in the same year range. I have a 3406 out of the Revell 359 but i believe thats a 1/25 scale engine and the Italeri 378 is 1/24 so the engine would look small in it.

Forgive my ignorance if this has been brought up already, but what is the engine in the Italeri US Wrecker Truck (Ford LTL 9000).
Is it the Cummins NTC-400 originally listed on the first page?
