Looking over some wheels for a project I've noticed the AMT tires don't fit AMT wheels leaving a gap between wheel rings front side or back side. The tire is too narrow for the wheel Anybody have a fix that will push the tire to fit the wheel against the both edges of wheel.

You could try stuffing the tire with either cotton balls or tissue to make it a little poofier (is that a word?) I've never tried it, but I have seen it done with nice results.

I used the smaller cotton balls. If you use the larger ones, tear two in half so you have four pieces per tire.

I have been using a small piece of nylon rope to fill in the tire, different diameters for different sized tires.

If you have the tires with the center still in them they will work. You can trim to your pleasure. If its the later release kits that the center has been trimmed at the factory then they are a pain. When they started to trim the tires they trimmed to much off one side almost making the tires useless. Those were mostly the GoodYear 10x20s. They haven't screwed up the 11x20's.

I went to Home depot and bought a length of 3/4 inch I.D. foam pipe insulation. Cut it with a new #11 blade or a box cutter to just under the width of the tire and assemble on the rim. I also use the foam in the Revell of Germany 1/25 tires. One length has lasted me so far 3 years. Paul
