Thanks Dave. I spend a few days working on the suction and exhaust pipes as the the ones from the kit did fit no more. I used Italeri 4.5mm tubes and Tamyia 5mm rod for the elbows. I bended them above a candle light. I can´t say it was an easy job but finally I got what I wanted. The thin plastic stripes created the elbow details. Everything is yet to be painted but I took these pictures with the tubing unpainted for better visibility. I hope the pipes will good once painted. Jarda

I agree it looks excellent. Question, How did you get the texture on the top of the instrument panel? It looks like real vinyl. Paul

Paul, if you mean the texture of the black part of the dash, it is in the kit already. No modification on my side. The instrument panel itself has sort of woodgrain molded too. But the grain is vertical... I have never seen it that way. And I think that the real panel is smooth with only the instruments rims and knobs popping out of the surface, the woodgrain just painted. Horizontally! Jarda

Thanks, I never paid attention to the kit dash. I do know the wood grain isn't vertical. I have wood grain from a 1/48 WW I Fokker that I use as wood trim ....I'm lazy on doing wood grain. Paul

No, I didn´t . It´s post shaded. I probably had a heavy hand on the roof. But the photo intesifies the effect. It is my first try with the post shading. Jarda

OMG, "not going for hardcore brakes" I'd hate to think how good they would be if you were going "Hardcore" My brake detail is no existent!

As my Aero Kit Pete is finished I have my hands free to work on Clydes II. The back panel in the cab needed some upholstery. It won´t visible too much behind the seats but I still felt like there is something missing anyway. So, again, I used a "poor man´s resin" to make a missing piece of upholstery. By "poor man´s resin" I mean a regular white glue for paper. I poured a layer on the sleeper inside wall and let it dry for a few days. Then I peeled it off and cut to shape. This dry glue-piece I superglued to the panel. Painted it light grey and dark washed a bit. A bit more than I intended. As I plan to open the door I needed a fire extinguisher in the cab. I made one out of a 5mm plastic rod. The valve is 1.6mm rod with a handle an the trigger made of a soft tin. The hose is an electric wire. The decal is not authentic but it looks good. The extinguisher is strapped to a hanger made of a square rod and soft tin stripes. The roof clearance lights are too spiky for old Bill Sign´s unit. I made a little change in their shape. That´s all for now folks. I believe the final assembly starts very soon. Jarda
