Thank you Chris. And still I was critisized on my home country forum for not having the AC compressor on my engine. No, I am just kidding. "Critisize" is much too strong word for a friendly reminder. But it made me look at my pics of 3408 and I found that some engines have the AC compressor, some others do not. But I felt like my engine is something missing so I scratch built one and added it to my engine. I took the pictures in the dark early morning and the light bulb spoiled all the colors. I had to strip off the belts but they will be back. One of the things that differ Clydes II from an average highway tractor is the fifth wheel. Check it out on www.truckin24.de/03c1989d840f69e01/03c1989e1510fe103.html I extended the sides of the 5-th wheel with two "L" channels made of two pairs of plastic stripes. I also added the locking jaw pin. The handle is yet to be made as well as some other details. You can also see some basic weathering made with Humbrol enamels. It is going to be tune up when the whole chassis is put together. That´s all folks. Hope to be back soon. Jarda

It's going to be a shame to put a fifth wheel on that and cover up all of your hard work! Steve

One of the lines that I used for plumbing is a string from the christmas sweets that we hang on the tree. The thread is thin enough and resembles the electric cable harness. The unpained ends show the original color. I just wonder if I can find something like this when Christmas is over. The idea came too late, most of the sweets was eaten by kids and papers with strings thrown in the garbage. Jarda

Hello there, I need a little help with tires. It was discussed here already, I think. But I can´t find the thread. The front super singles of RoG (Bill Signs and CAN DO) are a bit off scale. A little too big. I know they came from a car of 1/16 scale or something like that. I wonder what is the relation of the front super singles to the rear dual drives. Are they really that different in diameter? Or should they be just about the same? Are the Italeri super singles (the dump trailer) closer to reality? Does any one of you know the dimensions of the real super single tire? I really think that this difference is a bit too much. Any help appreciated. Jarda

Yes .they are too wide!! On my 1:1 the 11x22.5 rears are 8" tread width and about 40" tall. The 425/65x22.5 steers are 12" tread width and 42"tall. If it helps any, 425(mm) is the section width,or width across the widest part.65(%)is the aspect ratio, meaning the sidewall height is 65% of the section width. Most of the heavy haulers I've seen run 355 ,385 or 425 tires. Alot of mixers run 465 all around.Hope this helps. Steve

It looks to me that when you are done building your truck you will be able to jump in it and go get a load You have done some amazing detail and you should be very proud. Dave
