From what I've found, they ran 28ft exterior post doubles & 40ft exterior post singles. I don't know if they were Fruehauf or not, but close enough for me. They also ran 45ft & 53ft smooth sided vans later. www.hankstruckpictures.com/apa_tribute.htm

Will be adding some exterior post vans to the kit "stash" for sure!
I like that APA Louisville, great model idea. Looks like a Mack R fuel tank on there.

Sounds like you're on your way. Jerry's APA decals are quire nice, so you know. Are you going to do your's with the telescoping fifth wheel of this yard tractor, or are you just going to make it a city tractor?

It is, saw a few APA trucks with mixed tanks, even an R model with what looks like Titan tanks. Run what you got in the parts room.
