Cliff,
All of the "tires" were casted from another Master Modeler...Jamie@MoLuminum...outstanding work/detail..his work is in high demand..
The front(s) and the lift axle(s) are high floatation tires..the rear(s) are of a lug tread..both are made of solid soft resin.
The front and lift axle rims are also resin cast from him as well, the rear rims are from the Pete Can-Do wrecker..Everthing was then painted with the Alclad II polished aluminum.
The fuel tanks/exhaust/and scratch built hydraulic tank were installed between last night and tonight..the CAT engine will be permanently installed and "plumbed" this weekend..hopefully.
Thank you to all for the great feedback...More pictures to come of this "beast"

Hi there, Kurt that´s an fantastic looking truck. The engine and chassis are awesome also the dumpbox. Do you have some measures from the dumpbox?I think it´s all scratchbuilt.I love those worktrucks. Keep up the good work, Cheers,Chris

It's a shame to put a hood over that motor. Unreal the details really like the remote lude. Don't forget only use delco motor oil in that cat. Can't wait to see more.

bootleg... The hood will actually open when it is completed...hours of "fidiling" with the allignment with the cab..I had to actually "crack" the hood..to take the bow out of it...another story.. The remote lube is just one of those fine details..I did research on..a got "real" photos from a 379..Pete. Just needs plumbed. If you look mre closely..you will see the Chevron Delo 400 oil decals..Multigrade SAE 15W-40... Hand fabricated Bendix Air Dryer..between the HYD tank and fuel tank. A few more pictures...motor is mounted...exhaust in place..just have to finish some more plumbing...Anyone have a set of keys??? Thank you, to all for the great feedback..She's coming together...Kurt McLucas

amazing work, the detail on the engine is brilliant and you've certainly carried that on through the rest of the build.
Just one question, where did you get the rear tyres from? they've got a pretty good tread pattern on them

The engine is actual genuine "CAT" new yellow paint. I have the entire spray can available, very little was used on this project..PM me if you want...I'll make you a deal, if not let me know either way...Thank you,
