I thought every body may be interested in this. I'm rebuilding a Revell of Germany K.W. 900 I built over 20 years age. While looking in my parts box I came across all my AMT Alaskan Hauler parts. I fitted the nose to the RVG kit. Here is the results.
If you use the AMT nose on the RVG or the RVGl nose on the AMT, it's fits 100%. you only need to use the cab air filter filler panels to correct the air tube location.
The grills are interchangable 98%. On the AMT or the RVG hood you need to modifiy about 3/32 where the grills jog out near the head lights. Good news is the AMT Alaskan Heavy Haul nose fits the RVG kit 100%.
That is good news as one of the builds I want to do is correcting the AMT Alaskan Hauler with the Revell of Germany cab.
THe AMT kit is a pre 1968 version. The RVG kit is post 1974, lower door handles, marker lights and first year of the walk through sleeper cab. Still was in my head to update the RVG 900 with th AMT Severe Use Nose.....great minds think alike.
