I JUST STARTED BUILDING A 359 PETERBUILT WITH A 3406 CAT UNDER THE HOOD AND I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD TELL ME EXACTLY WHERE I HOOK UP THE TWO LINES COMING OFF THE LUBERFINER. THANKS, KEITH

HERE IS THE INFORMATION THAT I FOUND. Luberfiners are bypass oil filters. The inlet hose is connected to a pressure point on the engine ( usually on the oil filter mount) and the return hose is connected to the crankcase. ( usually to the side of the engine block just above the oil pan rail) These connections would be pretty much the same regardless of the engine brand. As for the Luberfiner itself, the center hose is the return hose and the hose that is off center is the inlet. To service these filters you remove the band on the opposite end of the hoses, remove the cover then remove the element. I only mension the service procedure because the mounting is critical for clearance. The Luberfiner can be mounted any direction but must be serviceable. KEITH
