Thanks! Got some more done this weekend, 1/43 cabover has engine installed and ready to plumb to intake/exhaust: In 1/25, both Monforts progressing: Circus wagon has much of the chrome in place, horns used from snap kit as 1:1 of this truck didn't have snow caps. Spotlights from 1/32 "snap" CF pumper, good detail and size looks right in 1/25: Always keep a good book or two handy! Aerodyne bumper had what looked like rubber flap to mount licence plates, .010 black styrene sheet used to replicate this: As photo wasn't clear enmough to determine actual licence plates/numbers "creatve licence" was employed here:

Update this evening, kit "Clatterpuller" engine installed in Aerodyne. 1/8" styrene angle and .032 brass wire used to make rad braces:

Thanks Justin, yes all decals have been home made for this group of projects. Older CAD program used to draw artwork, going from reference photos and a bit of "best guess" estimating. Ink jet printer on Testors paper, followed by Testors decal bonder spray. Light coloured backgrounds are fairly easy to do, dark ones require decal to be printed on white paper as ink jet printer won't print white or very opaque lighter colours. On the little cabover I converted lettering into an outline then filled letters with "dark yellow" (which is as close to gold as computer would let me) then filled in a box around lettering with black. Applied to black portion of cab it was acceptable. White backgrounds on licence plates done same way. Last of the engines in place, Cummins installed in "circus wagon". Humbrol #119 seemed a good match for "Cummins beige", still have to fit rest of turbo and exhaust. Rust on manifold was done by painting base coat of Polly Scale "Roof Brown", once dry baking soda/water brushed on to create texture. After that dried thoroughly Badger Modelflex "Roof Brown" used for final colouring. It is a bit darker shade than the Polly Scale, being pre-thinned for airbrushing it flows onto the baking soda textured surface nicely without a lot of brushing required:

Thanks guys, trailers eventually planned for all 3. Two Ertl Great Dane vans will work for circus wagon (use left side from each as Monfort didn't have the curbside door) and AMT Thermo King reefer. Moebius 53' van shortened & modified will go with the Aerodyne, steel train in 1/43 will involve some scratchbuilding.

Getting back "into the groove" and nearing completion with some projects, fuel tanks shortened and molded on details removed for replacement with more accurate items. Cab steps and grab bar above door made from brass and soldered together: 1/32" dia wire, slices of 1/16" dia tube, short pieces of 1/64" x 3/32" flat bar and 1/16" channel for step treads. Painted Testors silver for aluminum (as opposed to chrome) finish:

Thanks, looks like the little cabover will be first of the 3 completed. Fuel tanks are only in place for test fitting, there are 2 pins molded onto them which press fit in holes on frame.
