Hi Guys... Building up my Pete Cabover and need a proper position for the 5th wheel... I've looked at several buildups here and am confused about where it should be... Closer to the Front Drive, Rear Drive, or balanced between the two?... Thanks for your help... Bill...

In the 1:1 world the fifth wheel location can vary a great deal. Wheel base makes a difference and the sitting of the fifth wheel pin on yout trailer. It also makes a difference if you have a slider or permantly fixed fiftj wheel. For a model, I would set it where you like the looks best with a trailer mounted. Most likely, a bit ahead of center of the axles. Mike

most trucks have it centerd between the two axels.if you slide it forward,it puts more weight on the front of the truck.if you slide it back,it puts the weight on the back of the truck.

it also depends if the truck has a drop/lift axle{s} too, if its got drop/lift axle it would be little more to the front
