Mack DM800 , this was going to have a Holmes 750 on it but I decided to have it pull a low boy for the trucks that can't be towed. let me know what you think.

A question for anyone that has built this truck, did your grill fit between the front fenders and was the front axle to wide? I had to cut the fenders apart and add about 1/16 inch to get them to tilt and the left front tire stuck out past the fender so I cut 3/16 out of the axle , it looks right now.

crashalot2, I built one of these kits last year, if you are building one of the newer kits (light gray not red) the fenders are indeed too narrow. The original kit's hood is wider. I cut the bar out completely, drilled out the bosses in the fenders to accept a brass rod and used a piece of Plastruct tube for a spreader. This has the added benefit of allowing the fenders to open separately. Some other issues exist with the cab mounting, I cut the tabs off the top of the frame and constructed new front mounts to allow the cab to sit level. The opening in the firewall will also need to be filled as the the cab is designed to be used on the DM 600 where the engine protrudes into the cab. As for the front axle, I can't comment due to the fact that I fit RNC 14.00 x 24 tires to mine (they are quite large).

Thanks . I put the fenders on first then use them to line up the cab , I also redid the tabs on the frame so the cab would sit right.
