Jarda, That is just too cool! Where are you getting the hand wheels for the valves?

Gator, A buddy of mine who has built a steam engine by Revell said that the cab is full of such hand wheels and he had not used all of them. They are in 1/35 scale but maybe they´ll fit. I´ll see him next week on the Pilsen Kit model show. He promised to take a few of the hand wheels with him. I hope they´ll be okay. Jarda

Hello
Great job on the model. I have plan to build logging truck on base of Kenworth C 500, when I finish few of my projects. So I'll watch closely. I was googling some pictures about logging trailers, and that I found that forum and this threat. Do you show your models on any models shows in Czech (or neighbour country Ger, Pol or Slov). Maybe next summer time I pack my wife to a car and make some trip to the south.

Hi Jarda, This is a fine looking logger! Your detailing is outstanding. The pipe installation really makes it. I would like to build a logging truck someday and look forward to using yours as a guide.

Now, guess what happened to the model. Accidents do happen not only to the real trucks. They take place on the workbench sometimes too. My indoor TV antenna needs to be placed to weird places sometimes to catch a good signal. I hung it up just above my workbench the other day and left it there for a few days. I forgot about it and started working on my logger again. Not far from the finish line I hit the TV antenna cable and off the hook it went fell down straight to the logger model. Look at the mess... My heart stopped for a while and I was like at the end of the road. But then I realised that even though the kit fell apart it was just the glue joints that broke down. Nothing was really broken, just disassembled. With just one exception and it was the front axle. This part really broke in two. Well, it sure needs some fixin´,don´t it? I dont believe that glueing it back together would be enough, having the weigh of the model in mind. I was offered the white metal axle and I said that it might do. Here is the original hand-made axle and its metallic replacement. I had to get rid of that broken one first. Fortunatelly, the springs are undamaged. So, I am ready to start the assembly all over again. Jarda

Jarda, OMG! I know exactly how that feels. I had something fall on a A-car dump truck. I was so disgusted ! I put the whole thing away for about a week. Then put it back together again. Yes the metal axle is a good fix. And I believe that with your skill level. That you will have no problem repairing the damage.

Excellent save Jarda! May I ask what material you used for the mud? Excellent weathering BTW!
