Hi guy's! I found this Ford hood in internet, but don't know, who sells it: The picture shows a right hand dash, so may be it's from Auslow? I did an inquire to them but got no answer. And I have a question to the experts here: The air intake holes looks very unusual to me. Not like Ford, but more like at the Sterlings, made by Daimler. Or is it genuine Ford??? Martin

That is an interesting hood. I believe that it is made by The Backyard Shed. He's on eBay. Goes by ausikid. He also has a Website, or did.

By the looks of the headlight angle it looks as if the hood is for a set back axle.

Now that you mention it, this might be a right hand drive conversion for the Italeri Ford AeroMax106 (LTA9000), or to convert the AMT Ford LN/LNT8000 to a mid 1990s Ford AeroMax8000 (LA8000).

Hi Jim!
The discription of the hood said, it's in 1/24 for Italeri Ford's. But I forgot, where I found it in the www. and I can not find it again. It was offered by Sauerkraut, too, but it's "sold off". I think, it would not fit to the 1/25 AMT's. In the past (a couple of years ago) I started a try to scratch build such a short hood. But it's form is too complex. I will try, to take a hood of the Italeri Aeromax 106, cut it, glue in some sheet stripes, file and sand it until it's ok. But the main problem are the mudguards (fenders). I think to cut them off bevor cutting the hood and build them up new, after finishing the hood itself.
Do You know the lenghts of the short hood or the BBC of a LN?

The BBC for the AeroMax106 (LA/LTA9000) & AeroMax8000 (LA8000) is 106.3". The BBC for the LN & LNT is 93.3"; and the BBC for the L, LT, & LTS is 105.3".
