Interesting project, Bjorn. You don't see many tandem drive European trucks. Very cool. In that a Scania engine?

It's a good idea, to convert this Scania into a Tandem. Alas, this kit (like all Scanias from Italeri) has the same fault, that the interior is from the 4- series. And all engines and tranny's are colored in a flat anthracite, not red.

Hi Marc and Björn!
Please, don't misunderstand me! The conversion to a tandem is ok! I don't know, why for Italeri it isn't possible, to fit a right (modern) dashboard / interior / engine into those kit's. Two or three years ago I bought an Italeri Scania kit (the Heisterkamp one) because I liked to build my R 470 as a model. There are so many mistakes in those kits - I let it gone! Also the engine is much too old, because it's the engine of the 2- series and more than 20 years old. A 6- in line- engine is available as a resin part, but it won't fit into those kits! The red colored engine - ok, thats a matter of taste.

Hi there. Martin you are right what you've written. I do not understand it. In recent days I have painted a few things. Fenders, cab ...... and the engine is finished. Here are the pictures. That's it from Berlin. Greetings Björn

Hi there. On the weekend we went on with the frame. I got the frame primed and painted. Here are the pictures: The motor and the fenders are not glued. That's it for today. Greetings Björn

Hi Björn!
Looks good! The frame is to long for german laws. You wrote, it will be a show truck. But that doesn't matter. In Germany you'll get no permission for it. Badge a scandinavian (swedish or norvegian) number plate on it and it will fit. Or install a 4th axle and build a heavy duty tractor. You know, whats meant (see my PM). I like the cab color!
