Hi all, new member here. My name is Gregg and I now live in Tennessee, I was an over the road driver as well as a driver trainer. I have been building models off and on from the time I was 6. But I have never built a big rig. but know I am trying to build something a little different, so here is the question does anyone know where I can get a body for a box truck (like a Ryder rental)? prefer a 26' body but any size would do. I would build one if I could find build thread somewhere. Thanks for the help. Gregg

Welcome to the Forum, Gregg. As to your van body, the only one available is on either the Ford LN8000 or Ford C900 Delivery Trucks. It is a 1970s vintage Trailmobile rib-sided box. The LN8000 has been out of prodiction for a while, but the C900 is currently available (check Hobby Lobby if you have one near you & don't forget the 40% off coupon). Here is a pic of my LN8000 van I did back in 2008: I did replace the 10-hole chrome disks with resin 2-hole steel wheels from AITM. Ryder decals are from an aftermarket company that is no longer in business; however, if you want modern Ryder decals ckeck out Model Truckin': modeltruckin.com/store/Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Welcome Gregg. If you do Ebay there are a lot of the "city delivery (C900)/short haulers (LN8000)on sale daily. Both trucks use the same mold for the box and has the Todco rollup rear door.
