this is the Revell kit, picked it up for cheap at Michaels pretty nice kit for a snap together. only thing i dont like in the end result is the way the battery box snaps in and you can see the tab on it. color is a brown metallic, and weathered it lightly. thanks for looking!

That looks great! Any tips on weathering? What techniques do you use?

James, Great looking build you have there. The dash is fantastic. And your weathering looks very good. I think you forgot the electrical line from the tractor to the trailer??? I agree about the battery box and that unsightly tab.

Thanks guys!, for weathering I use artist oils over a normal glossy paint job, don't thin it just use out of the tube and apply liberally at first, then wiping most of it off and blending it out, then add more layers until you get the look you want. Let it dry on its own if you still want glossy paint, or you can spray it immediately with dull cote, also the "build up" of crud under the fenders and on the frame rails is concrete mix stuck on over weldbond glue, then oil washes applied to change the color
Honestly I dont know anything about big trucks, so if I need to add 1 more line for the electrical, would it be a color or just black?

Well, that depends. The electrical line could be green or black. Since you have the red & blue coiled air lines, I'd go with a green coiled electrical line.

JT, Because you don't know much about trucks, Doesn't mean that you can not build a great looking model. Which is what you have done here! I like your weathering and will make an attempt at your method, once I get back home. Be Well Gator
