Built working largely from memory (and a couple of good reference sources in the form of book and a newsletter article) of a real truck owned by a local scrap metal company some 25+ years ago. AMT's dump truck kit provided the cab/rad/basic running gear, frame was built using GW Trucks styrene frame rails with kit crossmembers. GW Trucks resin wheels were also used all around, front tires came from Ertl Paystar kit. Fenders, lugger body/bin and other small items scratchbuilt as required, mostly using styrene.

Very interesting. I don't think I've ever seen an Autocar quite like that with the steer wheels under the cab & the long hood.

It is unusual, they did exist though - a number of operators used them in Ontario due to that province's weight regulations, including a couple (Trimac and Liquid Cargo Lines) that spec'd daycab tractors on this chassis, including some on a 244" wheelbase. (!)

Interesting. Looking forward to seeing it in Utica. You are coming down, right?

That´s one of the most interesting trucks I´ve ever seen. Great idea for the model. The way you work with photos is awesome. The build is pictured exactly the way the real truck would appear in the photo. Great, just great.
