You have absolutely NAILED the classic 60's West Coast look of my favorite COE! Great job! thanks very much for the kind words Crackerbox ! it took years of studying pictures and a lot of thought to figure out how to fix the kit. I went over in my mind how to correct the cab a million times before I even touched it. I did the headlite mod on a couple of other kits I built and came up with an easier way to do it on this truck. i also did what I call my grille mod, whereas the top of the grille should stick out at the top. this was also tried on the other trucks I built and the best way found itself on this model. I also cut the front cab hinges down to lower the cab on the frame. one of these days I will finish it. my dad had a 67 and the 60's freight shakers are also my favorite.

Yea, I've had a life-long love affair with Freightliners... especially if they're pre-1970. Those AMT kits were certainly not the most accurate that company produced, but when they're properly back-dated like yours is, they can really look great! Sometime you'll have to explain your secret to getting the front of the cab corrected... as in how you lowered the headlights, etc. I'm kind of holding off on getting my 60's Freighliner project underway until I've got a good plan in place. Your model(s) have certainly provided the inspiration I need!
