On most amt kits there is a filter called a lubrafiner.I know they have feed and return hose on the bottom of the housing.Where do the hoses hook to the engine? How much difference in location between the three engine brands? You can see a lubrafiner on twist67's short hood road boss reference photo from "in the shop".

Luberfiner's are bypass oil filters, the inlet hose is connected to a pressure port on the engine (usually on the oil filter mount) and the return hose is connected to the crankcase (usually to the side of the block just above the oil pan rail). These connections would be pretty much the same regardless of engine brand. As for the Luberfiner itself, the center hose is the return and the hose that is off center is the inlet. To service these filters you remove the band on the opposite end of the hoses, remove the cover (about 1/4 of the filter housing) than remove the element. I only mention the service procedure because mounting is critical for clearance. Due to the fact that Luberfiner's can be mounted in any direction and if placed in a confined place, may not be serviceable.
