Guess I should have posted here awhile ago, but here goes. My name is John and I currently live and work in Kuwait as a Private Contractor to the US military. Ive been doing this for 5 years now. In the states I have a house in Jacksonville NC. I am a former Marine. I have been building model trucks since I was about 12 and I am currently 42, so I have been doing this a goodwhile. I have driven for a few trucking companies back in the states and I try to put this practical experience to use in my building. I have seen an emence amount of tallent in this forum and I am looking forward to being a part of it. I have just recently made my first post, which I hope will be one of many to come. Thanks

Welcome to the truck stop. From what I've seen you have some awesome builds. Have you ever considered building some of those trucks the locals drive in Kuwait? LOL I am retired military and have spent quiet a bit of time in the desert. Patriot Site 4 in Kuwait was one of those places and I am quiet familure with the Kuwait/USA military base. Keep cool and return safe.

Hey Roadwarrior, pretty much any Ebay glue bomb would be better than most equipment running the roads here. Thanks for the kind words.

Welcome to the growing community of big rig modelers John, it's great to have you here! I also spent some time in Kuwait, but it was when the country was liberated and we went up to opne the Kuwait airport for supplies and so forth to start being flown in. I spent 14 months over there from 1990-1991 as part of my career in the USAF. You ain't lyin about the shape of the trucks over there either!!! They'd never pass a DOT Inspection here, that's for sure!!! Feel free to jump right in and post pics of your work as well as any tips, questions, or whatever you may have. We have a great group of modelers here and we are looking forward to getting to know you better in the future! Again, welcome to the family, and "SEMPER FI"!
