hi all, some of our older members here may have seen this in the shop section a long while back, well i did finish it some time ago i just forgot to post pics of it, based on a restored 1:1 vehicle in my area i started with a junked r model mack and went from there, the trailer is scratchbuilt from plastruct and evergreen, and this last pic shows it on the guard of the 1:1 with its awards it won back at the tasmanian truck show model competition back in janurary hope you like it, cheers danny

I must say that you fellas down under build some fantastic iron!
You guys are kicking the rest of our a$$es in the CBP.
Great detail in your build. Great save and scratchbuild skills. Float is great, I am still working on scratch build trailer designs...in my head.
Any more pics of the CAT?
One kit I do not have in my colection is a MACK, after seeing this build, I need to find one.
Awesome! Thanks for the pics.

thanks for the comments, the dozer i "borrowed " from an old 4300 transtar combo that will be rebuilt shortly with a rebuild on the truck and a new scratchbuilt 3x4 float,i might have some pics of the dozer stashed on the computer somewhere, the dozer on this float will soon be repaced with an old ac mack tipper painted to match, thanks ultraliner, over 90%of my builds are rhd, only a handful are out of box lhd, cheers danny

The photo with the real truck is great.I like the flintstone nickname given to this style. There's a float like yours for sale down the road, might stop for measurements when snow melts. What do you use for small rims and tires?

thanks, the wheels and tyres on the flaoat are from the now reasonably rare esci 1/32 trailer kits,i bought a whole heap of them just for the wheels and tyres, as for time, well consistency is the key,i model every night so it all adds up, cheers danny

hey win,i know what you mean, all my trailers are boxed up and not on display for that exact reason(with the exception of the log trucks with folding jinkers) i only get them out for shows/displays,i have at least a dozen more scratchbuilt trailers in various stages i need to finish off one of these days, just too many projects, lol, thanks for the comments,
