That has turned out fantastic.
I'm rapped that the old decals worked out well for you and the complete unit with load looks fantastic.
I'm sure you are proud of having it in your collection.
Cheers
John

Thanks guys:
I have a couple of books about Tyrone Malone's trucks, and there are a few pictures where you can make out a gold frame above the front bumper and gold air breather tube. There was also a picture of the truck before it had it's fancy paint and a chrome wheels which showed gold hubs on the drivers. I also figured that since it was the Bicentennial Edition, they all had gold frames and chassis. The red engine was a guess, since I've never seen any pics of the motor in the truck. But judging by the red engines in the Super Boss and Bandag Bandit, I just assume he painted it the same way.
Cheers:
Bill

This is one kit that still eludes me!! I would love to score this kit so I could have a hauler for my Meister Brau pulling tractor. I just cant see paying well over $100.00 on ebay. I'll find one someday. As for yours, EXCELLENT!! Nice paint. I'm surprised the decals worked for you but as long as they did, great for you. Saved you alot of aggravation I'm sure. Yours is a sweet looking ride man! You did an excellent job on both trucks!!! You should be proud!

Hi Signature600.
I replaced all the kit rims with the ones from an ERTL International paystar dump truck. I added baby moons to the rear drivers and added a cut down rear hub from an AMT Ford Louisville to the front rims.

mudbogginjeepfreek:
I used plain old Testors gold spray paint for the frame.
