I decided to try my hand at a "needlenose" Peterbilt. So the grille and stuff has been modified, since I won an original California hauler on ebay. PICTURES SOON!

That's looking good so far. I don't know if you noticed, but, if you want it to be correct, the front windshields are to big. Notice in this pic how the lower edge of the windshields are higher than the lower edge of the door windows. The little window Pete has a lower roof or something like that. Lowering the roof and the side windows to line up with the top of the hood would get the correct look. Les

Well, I got my real Little window Pete (california hauler) today, I have A LOT more work to do. My cab isn't even close. This truck might be at a standstill for a while.

Hi there, this thing is looking nice. It´s a lot of work to make the conversion.I´ve done it some time ago. here are some pictures, maybe they will help: here is a link to my truck www.twists-truckstop.de/bauberichte/1954petelw/1954_351lw.htmI use the measurements from the Peterbilt 352 for the Little Window doors. Keep up the good work.... Regards,Chris

That truck is a heck of a lot nicer than anything I could ever do. As far as the cab, I think I'm just going to find an original Little window cab. I don't even know where to start on converting the "new" cab. I thought I was doing well until I got my Original "little" window Pete. I don't know if I'm going to go through with the conversion. I'm like a fart in a whirl wind, I don't know what I'm going to do next. Maybe if I can't find an original cab and get a fire under I disagree I might finish it. Thanks for the comments and Thanks "twist67" for showing me your truck.

first of all dont get discouraged if you hit a wall sit and think about it for awhile look at all aspects of what you want to do and when you look at the cab or hood dont look at what it is in front of you look at what it will be visualize the end product and work backwards from there and it will come to youand take ur time and most of all have fun at it dont get mad we do this for fun not agervation and just get-r-done lol

Nope, I need to have this thread deleted. This little project will never be done. I have robbed parts for other things, like the frame and engine. Oh well, I really lost interest after I got my original little window cab. Oh well, things happen like that sometimes.
