I have a question for Peterbilt experts. I am in the middle of making 377 Pete by Italeri. When I placed the DD 60 Series engine in the frame I spotted that it leans backwards a bit. I have seen a few builds with the engine inclined like that, so it is not only me. But when I look at the pics of real Peterbilts I do not see any incline. I wonder if Italeri kits are faulty or if I should buy me better eye-glasses.

One more question on Petes by Italeri. The kits have brake chambers of different sizes. I understand why the front axle has the smaller chambers. But why the same small chambers are also on the most rear driven axle? I do not see any reason why the brake chambers on tandem driven axles should be any different. Does any one of you have some explanation on this?

The larger brake chambers are "spring" (parking) brake chambers, small ones service brakes only. Some tractors are spec'd with spring brakes on both drive axles, some with spring brakes on one axle only. We have a 2002 Mack Vision at my work that has spring brakes on one drive axle only so the Italeri kits could be "correct" depending on the prototype truck you're modelling.

Hi you all, I´d like to know one more thing. Can somebody identify a part 92D of Italeri 377 for me, please? It´s the thing on the left of the driver´s seat. I am enclosing a pic of a real thing. I wonder what it is good for and if it can be found in any truck like a highway tractor, dump truck, tow truck, winch truck and so on. Thanks for any answer. Jarda

looks like a regulator and dump valve for a pusher or tag axle. usually i have seen them with an air psi gauge so the driver can adjust how much support it gives. Ive mostly seen them in dump or Garbage trucks and mounted near the controls for those systems. Most times between the seats, but those are day cabs. I wouldnt want it there with a sleeper.

This is actually the PTO for a dump box or a belt trailer most farmers mount them for easy excess when unloading. I had one on a w900 kenworth that I used to haul corn and beans.
