Does anyone have any idea on how to get glue off of parts without taking off the chrome and not damaging the parts? It Thought about using mineral spirits but am afraid it will take the chrome off some parts. Thanks jeff

Sometimes the freezer trick works. I have had parts that had excess glue on them and dipped the parts in water then put them in the freezer. When the water froze it lifted the big pad of glue and it came off with the smaller part that was easier to clean up.

Gday , most trucks that i have restored that had glue on the chrome just came of when i used my finger nail and a little pressure . The chrome normally sheilds the plastic part from the glue , the water thing works sometimes but only if the gluer has used minimal amount of glue . you will just have to use a sharp blade and SLOWLY cut and prise them apart , again SLOWLY .
